Bios mainboard

Ho un problema con un pc samsung all-one , quelli della samsung son stati capaci di mettere l'update del bios nell'utility -.-
Giustamente la sua ragazza ha avviato gli aggiornamenti e poi spento il pc proprio mentre flashava

Son riuscito a connettere ft2232h al chip del bios , un winbond 25x32vsig e lo vedo tranquillamente tramite una vm con linux.
Ora il problema è che io ho un file da 2 mega e invece sembra che li sopra gliene possa scrivere solo 1 :S

Non ho avuto tempo di leggerlo , perchè si è scaricata la batteria del mio portatile

ho trovato un programma che mi fà togliere l'incapsulamento ami , non mi chiedete che sia

perde qualche kb

letto il chip e la dimensione son 4MB , e quella che loro andavano ad aggiornare son 2,5
e purtroppo mi vien confermato dal programma che c'è un errore sulla rom

Oggi ho aperto un tickets alla samsung per vedere se mi inviano il bios , quella del call-center insisteva che solo loro lo potevano fare e a pagamento.
Una domanda , si posson rifiutare di darmelo?
Altra strada forse riesco mettere mano su uno funzionante per dumpare il bios

Se non è tra le loro policy, sì, si possono rifiutare. A me l'assistenza Asus si è rifiutata di mettermi a posto un pin (UNO!) di un socket 2011, ed ero anche disposto a pagare l'intervento (spedizione+spese varie).

Che vuoi , per riparare il pin era impossibile, senza sostituire tutto il socket, o sbaglio? XD

dalla prima pagina del tread c'è un file con tutti i bios , ne ho scaricato 4/5 e son tutti da 2,5MB -.-

Cmq quelli della samsung mi han chiamato e risposto che non possono dare certe cose -.-

ecco la soluzione giocare con winhex >.< lo sapevo ma non lo volevo fare

thanks to everyone that tried to help me, I've just managed to UNBRICK my ativbook 8. I got the P03ADH.CAP from the exe file using the procedure described in another thread of this forum (searching a folder before clicking ok or cancel). All the CAP files (P03ADH or P05ADH) have half the size of the BIN image that is programmed on the 25Q64 flash memory IC (tha has 8MB). Before programming the IC I've read its contents and saved it in a BIN file. Analyzing the corrupted 8MB image, I've noticed that apparently the first 4MB of the image contained SLIC and other stuff, and that the CAP contents should go after this 4MB header. Analyzing the CAP I've also noticed that there was some SLIC contents in it that is originally filled with FF but somehow during the bios update this area is merged with the old bios SLIC data. Comparing parts of the corrupted BIN file and the CAP file Iwas able to create an Hybrid one copying and pasting what seemed to be tha SLIC data. I'm now writing this post in my ressurected laptop. One final notice, when I first loaded windows after the bios repair I had to reactivate the windows license, probably I've skiped some of the SLIC data. I hope this helps someone. I've done that by phone using the product ID with no problem. regards!

ok come non detto è stato semplice tutti avevano dopo un pò una scritta in chiaro , copiato tutto il precedente da quello che avevo letto dalla rom e incollato prima dei file estratti dagli aggiornamenti

Ma ho capito anche perchè , colpa mia che sò nabbo e della weed , perchè una volta configurato flashrom , l'hi lanciato col comando -VE come stava sulla guida , peccato che nn ho pensato che la e stesse per erase
Percui l'unica soluzione è il dump , del perchè non ha funzionato il recupero , glielo spiegherò a lavoro terminato
Poi se qualcuno di voi mi vuol dumpare qualche bios uefi samsung, con amiflash per sistemare il bios gliene sarei grato
